Report: Timberwolves' Edwards, Prince enter COVID-19 protocol ahead of Lakers game

Minnesota Timberwolves' guard Anthony Edwards and forward Taurean Prince have been placed into COVID-19 protocol, reports ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Edwards, the first overall pick in 2020, is averaging 22.1 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.6 steals for Minnesota this season. In Wednesday's 124-107 win over the Denver Nuggets, the 20-year-old scored 38 points on 10-for-14 from three-point range.

Prince is averaging 4.6 points and 2.1 rebounds in 15.4 minutes per game.

The T-Wolves are ninth in the Western Conference with a 13-15 record and are scheduled to take on the Los Angeles Lakers (16-13) Friday night.
