The Los Angeles Rams will be looking to snap a six-game straight-up losing streak against San Francisco when they host the surging Niners in this season's NFC Championship Game as 3.5-point favourites on the NFL odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

Los Angeles is coming off a 30-27 win in Tampa Bay last weekend and will be making its first NFC Championship Game appearance in three years when it hits the gridiron for Sunday night's matchup at SoFi Stadium.

With quarterback Matthew Stafford leading the charge the Rams have steadily produced on offence while posting SU wins in seven of their past eight outings. With last weekend's upset victory over the defending champion Buccaneers, Los Angeles has averaged 28.6 points per game during its 7-1 SU run. And with the Rams claiming victory by an average margin of 11.6 points in their seven recent wins, they have posted against-the-spread wins in six of their past eight contests.

Stafford played a particularly large role in last week's win in Tampa Bay, throwing for two touchdowns and running for a third score. The 33-year-old has now thrown for multiple scores in seven of his last eight outings, and has racked up four touchdown passes and two scoring runs so far in the postseason. As a result, Stafford has emerged as the +330 second favourite on the Super Bowl MVP odds.

While the Rams enjoy a comfortable position as +200 second favourites on the Super Bowl 56 odds, they can ill afford to look past the division rival Niners in Sunday's contest. Fresh off a 13-10 upset win in Green Bay, the Niners travel to Los Angeles riding a four-game SU and ATS win streak. Each of the wins in San Francisco's current streak have come on the road, including a 27-24 overtime win over the Rams in Week 18 that earned them a playoff spot.

The Niners have dominated Los Angeles in head-to-head action, with their Week 18 win as 3.5-point underdogs at betting sites marking their sixth straight outright victory over the Rams.

The Niners have also regularly rewarded bettors, both during their resurgence over the second half of the regular season and when facing the Rams. Overall, the Niners have covered in 10 of their past 13 contests, including six of eight on the road, and they have also paid out in 10 of 13 dates with the Rams since 2015.

However, while San Francisco enjoys plenty of experience in conference championship action, they have advanced to the Super Bowl just three times in their past nine NFC Championship Game appearances.
