The Chicago Blackhawks are bringing Vinnie Hinostroza home.

The 26-year-old Chicago native has been acquired by his hometown club — for whom he played parts of the first three seasons of his career — in exchange for forward Brad Morrison.

Hinostroza has played nine games for the Florida Panthers this season, going pointless in that span, after spending the past two seasons with the Arizona Coyotes. His best season came in 2018-19, when he posted 16 goals and 39 points for Arizona.

Morrison, 24, has split time between the AHL's Rockford IceHogs and the ECHL's Indy Fuel this season. The 2015 fourth-round draft pick has yet to suit up for a game in the big leagues.
