Charlie Coyle is on the move again.
The Columbus Blue Jackets are acquiring the forward alongside Miles Wood from the Colorado Avalanche in a swap for Gavin Brindley, a 2025 third-round pick and a 2027 conditional second-round pick, the team announced on Friday.
Coyle, 33, was dealt to the Avalanche at the 2025 trade deadline by the Boston Bruins. He played 19 regular-season games in Colorado, scoring two goals and 13 points.
Before his trade, he spent parts of seven seasons in Boston, appearing in 452 games for the Bruins.
The East Weymouth, Mass., native was selected 28th overall at the 2010 NHL Draft by the San Jose Sharks, but spent the first six seasons of his career with the Minnesota Wild.
In 950 career regular-season games, Coyle has 189 goals and 485 points.
Wood, 29, spent the past two seasons with the Avalanche and registered 34 points in 111 games with the club.
Brindley was the 34th overall pick by the Blue Jackets in 2023 and appeared in one NHL game at the end of last season.
