The Carolina Hurricanes have signed forward Brendan Lemieux to a one-year, $775,000 extension, the team announced Monday.
Lemieux, 27, has two goals and one assist in 25 NHL games with Carolina this season after signing a one-year, $800,000 contract with the club in the off-season.
The six-foot-one, 215-pound forward has tallied 72 points (35 goals, 37 assists) in 300 career games with the Winnipeg Jets, New York Rangers, Los Angeles Kings, Philadelphia Flyers and Hurricanes.
The Buffalo Sabres picked Lemieux 31st overall in the 2014 NHL Draft.
Lemieux is the son of ex-NHLer Claude Lemieux.
