The stars are returning for the Vancouver Canucks.
For Friday's game against the Carolina Hurricanes, the Canucks will welcome forward Elias Pettersson and goaltender Thatcher Demko back to the lineup.
Friday's game will be just the fifth game this season that the Canucks have had Demko, Pettersson, Quinn Hughes and J.T. Miller all in the lineup.
Demko has been out since Jan. 2 when he left a game against the Seattle Kraken due to back spasms. Kevin Lankinen has started Vancouver's past three games.
The 29-year-old netminder missed the first two months of the season with a knee injury that he suffered in Game 1 of the playoffs. He made his season debut on Dec. 10 against the St. Louis Blues and has started in six games with a 3.43 goals-against average and .879 save percentage.
Pettersson was activated from the injured reserve on Friday after missing the team's last six games with an undisclosed injury.
The 26-year-old has not played since Dec. 23 when he left Vancouver's 4-3 win over the San Jose Sharks with an undisclosed injury after scoring two goals.
Prior to his two-goal performance, Pettersson had been held without a point in his last six games. Despite his droughts and recent absence, the Sundsvall, Sweden native has the fifth-most points for the Canucks this season with 28 (10 goals, 18 assists) in 34 games.
You can watch Demko, Pettersson and the rest of the Canucks take on the Hurricanes live on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+ starting at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT.
