Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Carter Hart is out for the remainder of the regular season due to an MCL sprain in his left knee.

Hart, 22, hasn't played since a 2-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins on April 15 when he stopped 31 of 32 shots for his ninth win of the season.

The Sherwood Park, Alta., native is 9-11-5 in 2021 with a 3.67 goals-against average and a .877 save percentage.

The 22-20-7 Flyers currently sit sixth in the NHL's East Division, 11 points back of the fourth-placed Boston Bruins for the division's final playoff spot.
