Golden Knights sign Olympic gold medalist Manninen to one-year deal

The Vegas Golden Knights have signed forward Sakari Manninen to a one-year, $750,000 contract on Thursday.

Manninen won Olympic gold with Finland at the Beijing Olympic Winter Games. The 30-year-old also scored the winning goal in the IIHF World Hockey Championship final against Canada, clinching Finland's golden year.

Manninen spent the 2021-22 season in the KHL with Salavat Yulaev Ufa scoring 19 goals in 38 games.
