Hurricanes' Petr Mrazek out indefinitely after thumb surgery

Carolina Hurricanes goalie Petr Mrazek had surgery on his right thumb and a timeline for his return will be determined in the coming days, the team announced Wednesday.

Mrazek was injured in Saturday's win over the Dallas Stars and has already missed two games.

The 28-year-old has a 2-1-0 record this season with a 0.99 goals-against average and .955 save percentage and two shutouts.
