Jack Drury is staying in Raleigh.
The 24-year-old and the Carolina Hurricanes have agreed on a two-year, $3.45-million contract, settling ahead of arbitration. Drury will earn $1.775 million this upcoming season and $1.675 million in 2025-26, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman reports.
The five-foot-11 forward is coming off his best season of his young career with the Hurricanes in 2023-24. It was a season that saw him establish himself as a full-time NHLer as he suited up for 74 games while totalling eight goals and 19 assists for 27 points. He went on to add a goal and four assists in 11 playoff games.
The New York native was a second-round draft pick by Carolina in the 2018 NHL Draft. After an NHL debut in 2021-22 that saw him score two goals in two games, he has gone on to suit up for 114 NHL games, totalling 37 points, adding 76 points through 105 AHL games.
