A second Swedish forward has been picked in the top 10 of the 2026 NHL Draft.
Centre Viggo Bjorck was selected eighth overall by the Winnipeg Jets on Friday.
He follows Ivar Stenberg, who was picked second by the San Jose Sharks.
The five-foot-nine Bjorck helped Sweden win gold at the world junior championship last season (three goals, six assists in seven games) and also played for the country at the men’s world championship (one goal, five assists in eight games).
Bjorck had six goals and nine assists in 42 games for Djurgårdens in Sweden’s top men’s league last season.
