The Los Angeles Kings have fortified their depth in net.
Goalie Pheonix Copley agreed to a one-year, $775,000 contract for next season, the team announced on Monday.
Copley, the North Pole, Alaska, native, played in 42 games for the Kings AHL affiliate Ontario Reign this past season, notching a .902 save percentage and 24-17-1 record.
The 33-year-old appeared in just one game for the Kings, entering in relief.
Copley has been a member of the Kings organization since the 2022-23 season, when he played in 37 games for the club and recorded a .903 save percentage. He also appeared in eight games for Los Angeles during the ensuing season.
The netminder entered the NHL as an undrafted free agent in 2014 and has gone on to play 77 career games with the St. Louis Blues, Washington Capitals and Kings.
Copley has also played in 279 career AHL games, including 17 shutouts.
