One of the smoothest skaters in this draft class is off the board.
Right-shot defenceman Chase Reid was selected with the No. seventh pick by the Seattle Kraken during Friday’s NHL Draft.
Reid, a Michigan native, is coming off back-to-back point-per-game seasons with the OHL’s Soo Greyhounds. In 2025-26, he had 18 goals and 48 points in 45 games.
He is committed to Michigan State for next season.
