The Toronto Maple Leafs are making a goaltending move ahead of their season finale.
Artur Akhtyamov has been assigned to the Toronto Marlies, while Dennis Hildeby has been recalled from the American Hockey League club, the team announced Tuesday.
Akhtyamov has made two starts with the Leafs since being recalled on April 9, going 0-2 with a 5.24 goals-against average and a .877 save percentage.
In 36 games with the Marlies this season, Akhtyamov has a 20-12-4 record with a 2.90 goals-against average and a .903 save percentage.
Hildeby was sent down to the AHL back on March 26 and has appeared in 19 games with the Maple Leafs this season. In those games, he has a .912 save percentage and 2.84 goals-against average.
The 24-year-old has a 9-8-8 record with a 2.70 goals-against average and a .896 save percentage in 22 appearances in the AHL.
Toronto will take on the Ottawa Senators in their final game of the regular season on Wednesday (7 p.m. ET on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+).
