We've got a date and time for the first taste of Eastern Conference semifinal action.
The NHL announced that Game 1 of the second-round series between the Carolina Hurricanes and Philadelphia Flyers will take place on Saturday, May 2, in Raleigh, North Carolina, at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.
All Stanley Cup Playoff games are available on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+.
The Hurricanes advanced to the second round with a sweep of the Ottawa Senators, while the Flyers secured their first series win since 2020 on Wednesday, taking down the rival Pittsburgh Penguins in six games.
The last time the Flyers and Hurricanes met, in the final days of the regular season, Philadelphia secured the victory in the shootout to punch its ticket to the post-season.
The full second-round schedule will be announced at a later date.
The Tampa Bay Lightning and Montreal Canadiens, as well as the Boston Bruins and Buffalo Sabres, are both still embroiled in their first-round matchups. Game 6s for each series take place on Friday (Sportsnet, Sportsnet+).
