The American Hockey League announced that the Bakersfield Condors, the AHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers, will have their game on Wednesday against the Stockton Heat postponed.

The postponement has been implemented as a result of the league's COVID-19 protocols affecting the Condors. A make-up date has yet to be determined.

Edmonton just called up defenceman Markus Niemelainen from Bakersfield on Tuesday morning after Cody Ceci entered the NHL's COVID protocol.

The Oilers also cancelled Tuesday's practice as a precaution.
