As expected, Edmonton Oilers goaltender Jack Campbell cleared waivers on Wednesday.

Campbell was then sent to AHL Bakersfield where he will attempt to regain his form.

Campbell has an .873 save percentage, a 4.50 goals-against average, and a 1-4 record through five starts this season. He is in the second year of a five-year, $25-million deal.

Also clearing waivers was Calgary Flames forward Dryden Hunt, who was then assigned to the AHL team in the same city. Hunt has no points in four games this season.

Meanwhile, the Pittsburgh Penguins placed winger Andreas Johnsson on unconditional waivers for the purposes of contract termination
