The Edmonton Oilers have placed veteran forward Tyler Ennis on waivers, the team announced Monday.

The 31-year-old has gone pointless in four contests with the Oilers this season, putting up just two shots and averaging 9:47 in ice time.

The 12-year pro notched 37 points in 70 games combined with Edmonton and the Ottawa Senators last season.

Ennis spent the first eight years of his career with the Buffalo Sabres, but has also had stints with the Minnesota Wild and Toronto Maple Leafs, totalling 313 points in 617 NHL games.
