One of Buffalo's top young forwards is sticking around a couple more seasons.
Sabres right-winger Jack Quinn has signed a two-year, $6.75 million contract extension worth $3.375 million in AAV, the team announced Friday.
Quinn was set to become a restricted free agent on July 1.
The 23-year-old had a solid campaign in Western New York, tallying 15 goals and 24 assists — both career-highs — in 74 games. He stepped his production up in the back half of the season, netting 14 goals and 20 assists in the final 50 games.
The Ottawa native was selected by the Sabres eighth overall at the 2020 NHL Draft and has 39 goals and 58 assists through 178 games with the team.
On Wednesday, the Sabres traded forward JJ Peterka to the Utah Mammoth for Michael Kesselring and Josh Doan before he was set to become a restricted free agent.
Buffalo has numerous players set to become restricted free agents on July 1, with Ryan McLeod, Bowen Byram, Jacob Bernard-Docker, Tyson Kozak and Devon Levi among those the team has yet to sign.
