Sean Strickland picked up the biggest win of his career with a unanimous decision victory over Uriah Hall in their UFC Fight Night main event Saturday in Las Vegas.

Strickland out-paced and out-struck Hall over five rounds to earn his fifth consecutive win and remain undefeated in the middleweight division.

The 30-year-old used slick boxing, in particular a stinging jab, to out-land Hall 173-56 in significant head strikes over the 25-minute bout. He was ranked as the No. 11 contender at 185 pounds prior to the win and will leapfrog Hall to move into the division's top 10 once the new rankings are revealed.

Strickland (24-3) moved up from the welterweight division in 2020 after a two-year layoff following a motorcycle accident. His three career losses all took place in the welterweight division, one being a 2017 unanimous decision to current 170-pound champion Kamaru Usman.

Meanwhile, Hall (17-10) was the No. 8-ranked middleweight contender and had won four in a row heading into the bout. At 37 years of age this loss was a significant blow to Hall’s title shot aspirations.
