Vinc Pichel has officially said goodbye to his professional MMA career.
The 42-year-old made the announcement himself through a social media post on Monday.
"There is so much to say," Pichel wrote on X. "The short version: At 42 years old, I’m officially retiring from competing in MMA."
Pichel, a Lancaster, Calif. native, started competing professionally in 2009. His pro MMA journey began with a 10-fight win streak that included three straight victories in Season 15 of The Ultimate Fighter back in 2012.
He then made his promotional debut at UFC Fight Night 35 in 2014, picking up a unanimous decision victory that sparked a four-fight win streak. And although Pichel followed that run with a loss, he immediately rattled off three more wins that pushed him as high as No. 28 among the UFC's lightweight ranks, the highest he'd end up during his career.
"From Hell" wasn't able to continue that stream of success or activity, however, as he only fought three more times since 2021 and lost all three of those bouts. He competed on the preliminary card of UFC 301 back in May 2024 before ending his MMA career with a unanimous decision loss to Rafa Garcia on a Fight Night card last month.
Pichel ends his career with an overall MMA record of 14-5 and 7-5 in the UFC.
