When actress Noureen DeWulf was cast opposite Charlie Sheen in a new television comedy, FX’s Anger Management, she probably didn’t think her career move would lead to Buffalo Sabres defenceman Christian Ehrhoff being called “dooshy.”
DeWulf’s husband is Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller, of whom the Major League star is a big fan.
After the Pittsburgh Penguins rallied to defeat the Sabres 4-3 on Sunday, a comeback due in part to Ehrhoff’s accidental screen of his netminder that allowed Paul Martin’s game-winner, Sheen called out the top-two defenceman to his 8.9 million followers.
We wish we could make this stuff up:

“I’m in front screening Millsie. He doesn’t have a chance on that, and it’s frustrating,” Ehrhoff told reporters after the game. “I couldn’t really move. It went too quick. I wish it would have hit me, but obviously it went in.”
Two days later, Ehrhoff (account unverified) responded to the actor/meme:
@charliesheen that dooshy teammate was me, went to my #AngerManagement class though #notmadatyouanymore

And, in perhaps the best news Buffalo Sabres fans have heard this week, Sheen promised to retire from hockey commentary:
Thanks. You’re awesome!#I‘llStickToBaseballRT @therealhoff10 @charliesheen that dooshy teammate was me, went to my #AngerManagement class!
