San Jose Sharks forward Evander Kane will have a hearing with the NHL’s Department of Player Safety on Saturday after elbowing Winnipeg Jets defenceman Neal Pionk a night earlier.
Kane struck Pionk with around six minutes remaining in the third period as the Jets blueliner was going into the corner to get the puck. He received a minor penalty for elbowing on the play.
Kane was suspended for the first three games of this season for abuse of an official.
