Minnesota Wild winger Mats Zuccarello will not play during the team’s upcoming road trip while he recovers from a lower-body injury.

It’s unclear what caused Zuccarello’s injury, but head coach Bruce Boudreau said Sunday that the 32-year-old was dealing with “bumps and bruises.”

The Wild signed Zuccarello to a five-year, $30-million contract this summer after he split last season with the Dallas Stars and New York Rangers. He has no points in four games this season.

Minnesota begins a three-game road trip Monday with visits to the Ottawa Senators, Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens.
