Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitchell Marner won't play in Sunday's game against the Winnipeg Jets after missing Saturday's loss in Minnesota, but he may not be out for long.

After a 4-3 shootout loss to the Wild, coach Sheldon Keefe said, "We're not expecting him to be out long term."

Marner’s status for Saturday’s game was uncertain after the winger was on the rough end of an accidental collision with teammate Jake Muzzin during Friday’s practice.
