Detroit Red Wings captain Dylan Larkin will miss the remainder of the season due to an upper-body injury.

The team announced the news Friday, adding that Larkin will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

Larkin, who was named the 33rd captain in Red Wings history earlier this year, last played on April 20 when he scored his ninth goal of the season in a 5-2 loss to the Dallas Stars.

The 24-year-old finishes his 2020-21 campaign with 23 points in 44 games for the Red Wings, who currently sit seventh in the Central Division with a 17-25-7 record.
