Three Canadian women have been added to the upcoming Dec. 13 Fight Night event at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas that will cap off the UFC’s 2025 schedule.
Women's strawweight contender Gillian Robertson is set to face Brazil’s Amanda Lemos who is replacing Robertson's original opponent Iasmin Lucindo. Jamey-Lyn Horth will take on Tereza Bleda of the Czech Republic, and Melissa Croden is set to go up against Brazilian Luana Santos, the organization announced.
Robertson, from Niagara Falls, Ont., has won four in a row and six of her past seven and is the No. 10-ranked contender in the 115-pound division. The 30-year-old earned a technical knockout over Marina Rodroguez in May in her most recent appearance.
Lemos, 38, is the No. 5-ranked contender in the division and holds a notable past win over new champion Mackenzie Dern from 2024.
Dern won the vacant strawweight title at UFC 321, marking a new era in the weight class, and the winner of Lucindo vs. Robertson will move one step closer to a title shot.
Squamish, B.C.’s Horth, 35, has alternated wins and losses since debuting in the UFC in 2023, and is coming off a unanimous decision win over Vanessa Demopoulos in June. Demopoulos had stepped in on short notice to replace Bleda in that contest.
Bleda, who turns 24 in late November, is 1-1 in the UFC but has not fought since earning her first UFC win in the summer of 2023, when she beat Gabriella Fernandes by decision.
Calgary's Croden is coming off a win in her UFC debut in October in Vancouver, while Santos is riding high off a submission win back in May.
The Dec. 13 card is headlined by top-10 men’s flyweight contenders Brandon Royval and Manel Kape.
