The Toronto Blue Jays have optioned outfield prospect Anthony Gose to triple-A Buffalo to make room for Marcus Stroman on the 25-man roster.
Toronto announced Stroman’s promotion to the big club following Saturday’s loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Stroman had an impressive outing on Friday for the Bisons that caught the eye of Blue Jays catcher Erik Kratz.
Gose is being sent down after just getting called up on Thursday, a major day of roster moves from the Blue Jays that saw Moises Sierra get sent down for Gose, and Steve Tolleson’s return to the show at the expense of Jonathan Diaz.
