Houston Astros star second baseman Jose Altuve underwent surgery on his ailing right knee Friday, according to MLB.com’s Brian McTaggart.
Altuve battled through knee issues during the Astros’ playoff push to the ALCS, a run that saw his team eliminated by the Boston Red Sox in five games.
The 28-year-old sported a .250 average, with five hits and two RBIs during the post-season.
