Butler’s live mascot, a bulldog named Butler Blue III, was denied access to PNC Arena in Raleigh, N.C. ahead of the team’s first-round game against Texas Tech.
According to the arena’s official Twitter account, Blue was denied access by staff at the arena citing NCAA rules, although which rule exactly isn’t made clear.
Despite not being in, Blue will be cheering on his beloved Butler and celebrating St. Paddy’s Day in style.
