Kawhi Leonard lukewarm on Toronto weather, thrilled with Raptors

Toronto Raptors forward Kawhi Leonard is in Charlotte this weekend enjoying his third time as an NBA all-star.

As much fun as he’s likely having chilling with his fellow elite basketball-playing peers, however, there is some work to be had for him this weekend, with answering questions during designated media scrum periods being chief among them.

On Saturday, he was cascaded by a wave of questions, including the ever-relevant “How are you liking Toronto so far?”

His answer to this query will both delight and worry Raptors fans.

“It’s a great energy out there. The fans come out, they’re very supportive. It’s a great city, there’s a lot to do, it’s just been cold,” Leonard told to an assorted mass of reporters. “The snow does look nice on days, but you just need a jacket to go outside. I’m not used to wearing boots and everything.

“But as far as the whole city, team, coaching staff, organization, fans, it’s been great.”

So Leonard has discovered the most well-known pros and cons to living in Toronto. Does this mean there are some extra tea leaves to read in that statement as well?

Like his pending free agent decision this summer, only he knows.
