The Indiana Pacers are trying to get their home crowd going before Game 6.
Facing possible elimination after losing Game 5 in spectacular fashion, the Pacers will give out gold T-shirts at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, with the silhouette of the state of Indiana and the slogan #WeTheGold at the bottom.
It appears to be a bit of a dig at the Raptors, who have used the slogan #WeTheNorth since 2014.
“Just because we do ‘We The North,’ they just trying to find something to get at us,” Raptors forward Patrick Patterson told reporters at a press conference Thursday.
However, not all Pacers fans were impressed with the marketing ploy.
The Raptors lead the best-of-seven series 3-2 and Game 6 takes place Friday night.
