Report: LeBron James to star in Space Jam sequel

Party people up in the house let’s go. It’s your boy LeBron a’ight so.

Children of the 1990s rejoice, it would appear that a sequel to the greatest movie about the Looney Tunes teaming up with Michael Jordan to save the world in a game of intergalactic pick-up is getting its long-awaited sequel.

According to the Hollywood Reporter a sequel to the 1996 film Space Jam is in the works and will star Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James. At the helm will be Justin Lin, director of Fast & Furious 6 and the upcoming film Star Trek Beyond.

Lin is reportedly working on the script with writer Andrew Dodge.

Last summer rumours of a Space Jam sequel starring James picked up steam when the Cavaliers star announced that his SpringHill Entertainment company had teamed up with Warner Bros. Entertainment to create film and television projects.

This wouldn’t be James’ first foray into film as he had a sizable role in the Amy Schumer comedy Trainwreck.

It certainly looks as if this movie is actually happening. Therefore the next logical question is does LeBron have that same secret stuff Jordan had?

We’ll all have to watch to find out.

In the meantime, here’s some Quad City DJ’s to get y’all hyped.
