Trail Blazers’ Aldridge out with respiratory issue

HOUSTON — Portland’s LaMarcus Aldridge is out with an upper-respiratory illness on Monday night against the Houston Rockets.

Aldridge leads the Trail Blazers with 22.8 points and 10.7 rebounds a game.

Coach Terry Stotts says that Aldridge starting feeling sick on Sunday night and that he stayed at the team hotel instead of coming to the arena on Monday.

He wasn’t sure if he’d be able to play on Tuesday at Oklahoma City.
