Bruins prospect Lauzon hospitalized after cut to neck from skate

Rouyn-Noranda Huskies defenceman Jeremy Lauzon left Friday night’s second-round playoff game against the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada after being cut in the neck by a skate.

The 18-year-old suffered the injury after a collision behind the Huskies net during the first period. Lauzon was rushed to hospital and the team later announced that he is in stable condition.

According to multiple reports, Lauzon is undergoing minor surgery but is considered to be out of danger.

Lauzon, a 2015 second-round draft pick of the Boston Bruins, had 10 goals and 50 points in 46 games for the Huskies this season. In eight playoff games, he has a goal and seven assists.
