NHL Central Scouting has named two Calgary Hitmen players on its final list of prospects for the 2020 NHL Draft.

Defenceman Luke Prokop is ranked 130th among North American Skaters while Brayden Peters is 30th on the North American Goalies list.

The 17-year-old Prokop is coming off his sophomore season in the Western Hockey League and played in the 2020 Kubota CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game in Hamilton, ON.

The 17-year-old from Edmonton, AB, notched a career-high 23 points (4g, 19a) with the Hitmen in 2019-20 while playing top-four minutes on the blueline.

Peters just completed his rookie season which saw the 17-year-old from Taber, AB post the third-best goals-against average among all WHL rookies at 2.76.

He also led all first-year goalies in games played with 35 and minutes played at 2,043.

The final rankings, released today, are compiled by NHL Central Scouting Service and splits prospects into both North American (NA) and International categories.

A new date for the 2020 NHL Draft has yet to be set after the original plans of June 26-27 at Bell Centre in Montreal were postponed because of COVID-19.
