FLINT, Mich. — Matthew Tkachuk and JJ Piccinich both scored twice as the London Knights routed the Flint Firebirds 7-3 on Wednesday night for their eighth straight win in Ontario Hockey League action.
Chad Heffernan, Aaron Berisha and Victor Mete rounded out the attack for London (50-13-3), which got three assists from Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Mitchell Marner.
Stephan Seeger led the Firebirds (20-40-6) offence with two goals and an assist. Luke Hirwan had the other.
Tyler Parsons picked up the win in net after stopping all 19 shots he faced in 30:18. Brendan Burker turned aside 11-of-14 shots in relief. Brent Moran took the loss after kicking out 16-of-21 shots in 30:18. Kyle Keyser went the rest of the way and made 15 saves.
Flint converted on the game’s lone power-play opportunity.

GENERALS 4 STEELHEADS 3 (OT)
MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Domenic Commisso scored at 4:21 of overtime as Oshawa topped the Steelheads for its third straight win.
Mitchell Vande Sompel and Anthony Cirelli had power-play goals for the Generals (27-31-8). Kyle MacLean also chipped in with a goal early in the third period.
Jason Smith, Everett Clark and Owen Tippett found the back of the net for Mississauga (32-29-5).

67’S 5 COLTS 3
OTTAWA — Nathan Todd, Jeremiah Addison and Connor Graham all scored in a three-goal second period as the 67’s powered past Barrie.
Artur Tyanulin and Dante Salituro, into an empty net, rounded out the attack for Ottawa (34-29-3), which won its fourth in a row.
Justin Murray and Julius Nattinen opened the scoring for the Colts (42-22-2) with Dylan Sadowy chipping in late in the third.

SPIRIT 5 GREYHOUNDS 4
SAULT STE. MARIE, Ont. — Mitchell Stephens scored the winner at 19:23 of the third period as the Spirit snapped a five-game skid by slipping past Sault Ste. Marie.
Mike Davies, Tye Felhaber, Brady Gilmour and Artem Artemov supplied the rest of the offence for Saginaw (24-34-8), which got three helpers from Marcus Crawford.
Zachary Senyshyn struck twice for the Greyhounds (31-27-8). Boris Katchouk and Tim Gettinger also chipped in.
