OHL Roundup: Bouramman drives Greyhounds

SAULT STE MARIE, Ont. — Gustav Bouramman and Jack Kopacka both scored in the shootout as the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds edged the North Bay Battalion 5-4 on Sunday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Bobby MacIntyre scored twice in regulation time for Sault Ste. Marie (12-13-3) including the tying goal 16:10 into the third period. Boris Katchouk and Blake Speers also scored in the third as the Greyhounds rallied from a 4-1 deficit.

Brett McKenzie had a pair of goals for North Bay (12-12-3), while Daniil Vertiy and Kyle Wood chipped in as well.

Joseph Raaymakers started in net for Sault Ste. Marie, stopping 16-of-20 shots. He was pulled after McKenzie’s second goal gave the Battalion a 4-1 lead. Brandon Halverson turned aside all 10 shots he faced in regulation and overtime as well as 2-of-3 skaters in the shootout.

Goaltender Jake Kment made 37 saves for North Bay.

The Greyhounds went 1 for 6 on the power play, while the Battalion were 2 for 2.

KNIGHTS 5 STORM 2

GUELPH, Ont. — Christian Dvorak had back-to-back goals in the second period and added an assist as London downed the Gryphons.

Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Mitch Marner scored and added two assists for the Knights (21-4-5), who have won seven straight. Aaron Berisha and Cliff Pu chipped in as well.

James McEwan and Jacob Harris replied for Guelph (2-24-1), which has lost 11 straight.

STEELHEADS 6 COLTS 3

MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Michael McLeod had two goals and two assists as the Steelheads dispatched Barrie.

Alexander Nylander struck twice and added an assist for Mississauga (16-13-2), while Nathan Bastian and Everett Clark also scored.

Adrian Carbonara, Rasmus Andersson and Justin Scott supplied the offence for the Colts (17-10-0).

GENERALS 4 WOLVES 2

SUDBURY, Ont. — Lukas Lofquist had the first and last goal of the game as Oshawa topped the Wolves.

Kenny Huether scored the winner on the power play at the 18:31 mark of the third period for the Generals (11-14-5), while Anthony Cirelli had a short-handed goal in the second period.

Zach Wilkie and Kyle Capobianco responded for Sudbury (5-21-3).

STING 5 67’s 4

SARNIA, Ont. — Matt Mistele had a pair of goals and added an assist as the Sting held on to beat Ottawa.

Pavel Zacha scored and added three assists for Sarnia (16-10-2), which has won three games in a row. Nikita Korostelev and Jakob Chychrun also found the back of the net.

Dante Salituro had a hat trick and added an assist for the 67’s (16-12-1). Jeremiah Addison had the other goal.

FRONTENACS 4 BULLDOGS 3 (OT)

HAMILTON — Jason Robertson scored 2:51 into overtime to lift Kingston over the Bulldogs.

Juho Lammikko, with a goal and an assist, and Warren Foegele and Jared Steege also scored for the Frontenacs (18-8-3).

Matt Luff had a goal a helper for Hamilton (11-16-2). Niki Petti scored on a power play and Mason Marchment tied the game 3-3 with 57 seconds left in the third.
