Flames place Travis Hamonic on IR, recall Rasmus Andersson

Dougie Hamilton scored his 4th goal of the season and the Calgary Flames defeated the St. Louis Blues.

The Calgary Flames have placed defenceman Travis Hamonic on injured reserve, the team announced Friday.

In a corresponding move, the Flames have recalled defenceman Rasmus Andersson from AHL Stockton.

Hamonic suffered a lower-body injury in Wednesday’s game against the St. Louis Blues. After that game, head coach Glen Gulutzan said there was a chance Hamonic could play Friday but it’s now unclear how long he will be out.

Andersson was a second-round pick by the Flames in 2015. He has appeared in two games with the team in his career.
