Los Angeles Kings forward Milan Lucic will have a hearing for the sucker punch he delivered to Arizona Coyotes defenceman Kevin Connauton on Saturday night.
Occurring during a stoppage of play at the 13:05 mark in the third period of Saturday’s game, Lucic skated up to Connauton and landed a right hook flush, knocking him down.
Lucic attacked Connauton in retaliation of a slash to his left hand he received from the Coyotes defenceman.
The Kings winger got a game misconduct for the incident and could receive more punishment depending on the results of his hearing.
