Kings’ Marian Gaborik leaves game with lower-body injury

Los Angeles Kings forward Marian Gaborik left Friday’s game against the New York Rangers with a lower-body injury.

Gaborik, 33, sustained the injury when he collided with Rangers centre Dominic Moore late in the first period.

The Kings sniper was helped to the locker room and struggled to put any weight on his left leg.

Gaborik scored to give the Kings a 2-0 lead just over 11 minutes into the first period before leaving the game.
