As far as Friday afternoons go, Victor Bartley had himself a busy one on January 15, 2016.
Bartley was traded twice on Friday, first to the Arizona Coyotes for defenceman Stefan Elliott, then again to the Montreal Canadiens along with John Scott in exchange for Jarred Tinordi and Stefan Fournier.

The Predators tried Bartley out at forward
Bartley has been a defenceman throughout his professional and junior careers, but the Predators actually gave him a shot at flexing his skills up front last season.
The 27-year-old played forward for a game versus the Dallas Stars. Predators coach Peter Laviolette was impressed.
“I thought he did a terrific job,” Laviolette said in April of 2015. “D-zone coverage and even just getting it on the forecheck, he’s a physical guy. He found himself out there against their top line a few times, and I thought he did a good job. [His line] had good success of getting the puck in the offensive zone early on and with his pace, I thought he played well.”

Nutrition first
While Bartley leans on popcorn as a healthy scratch, he’s actually a very healthy eater. His go-to meal?
“Ground turkey with some vegetables and a bit of quinoa,” Bartley told VanCityBuzz in August of 2015. “It’s pretty plain.”

He traveled to Hong Kong in 2014
Bartley took the opportunity to travel to Hong Kong following the 2013-14 season.
“Right after the season, Carter Hutton and I went to Hong Kong for a bit and then went to Thailand,” Bartley said in September of 2014. “Then we went and visited my folks over there too. They moved over there about a year and a half ago to start a new business. It was great getting to see them for a couple weeks and then after that I spent my summer back in Vancouver.”
