Replay of the Day: Seguin pulls a Hartnell

Replay of the Day: It’s fitting that the final goal of the defending champion Boston Bruins’ 2011-12 campaign was scored by Tyler Seguin, one of the only Bruins stars to not be completely shut down by the heroics of Washington Capitals rookie Braden Holtby.

Seguin, who scored the Game 6 overtime winner in Washington on Sunday, gave his team a chance to win the series on Wednesday. Then, when the Caps jumped to an early 1-0 lead in Game 7, Seguin makes this incredible diving play to knot the game at one, sending the closest series in NHL history into sudden death.

Seguin’s flat-out effort did not go unnoticed on the television set of a fellow Eastern Conference all-star forward, Scott Hartnell.

Of course, Hartnell, another guy who wears the number 19 on his back, was referring to his own first-round finale goal against the Pittsburgh Penguins:
