The Ottawa Senators have recalled defenceman Ben Harpur from the AHL’s Belleville Senators, the team announced on Friday, following the news that Chris Wideman will be out for “weeks” with a hamstring injury.
Harpur, 22, has played in 14 career NHL games. He last played for Ottawa on Nov. 11 versus the Colorado Avalanche in Sweden.
