The Ottawa Senators have turned to the farm as a result of a whack of injuries suffered by key forwards.
The club recalled prospects Casey Bailey and Max McCormick from Binghamton Monday morning.
Ottawa entered Sunday’s loss to the Winnipeg Jets without forward Bobby Ryan (finger) and finished the game without Mark Stone (head), Mike Hoffman (lower body) and Tommy Wingels.
Ryan, Hoffman, and Stone represent three of the team’s top six goal scorers.
“It looks like a disaster,” head coach Guy Boucher told reporters Sunday night. “We have to wait until tomorrow to be clear and precise but right now we could be losing quite a few guys.”

McCormick, a 2011 sixth-rounder, has played just 25 career games with the big club, registering two goals and two assists. The 24-year-old has not found the score sheet in five big-league appearances this season but has 26 points in 45 games with Binghamton.
Bailey, 25, has also gone pointless in his five NHL appearances this season. The right wing has 14 goals in 44 games this season with Binghamton.
The Senators, who currently hold the Atlantic Division’s second seed, begin an East Coast road trip Tuesday in New Jersey.
