A quick glance at Sunday’s edition of the San Jose Mercury News may sting Ottawa Senators fans a little.
In order to welcome their new star acquisition, and help sell a few more tickets, the San Jose Sharks took out a double-spread advertisement in the paper with a giant photo of a smiling Erik Karlsson in a Sharks sweater, listing his accomplishments underneath.
No word yet if the Senators will do the same in the Ottawa Citizen for any of Chris Tierney, Dylan DeMelo, Josh Norris or Rudolfs Balcers.
