Stars’ Bishop leaves game vs. Rangers with lower-body injury

Dallas Stars goaltender Ben Bishop left Monday’s game against the New York Rangers with a lower-body injury and won’t return, the team announced.

Anton Khudobin came in to replace Bishop in the third period, confirming the end to the starter’s night after 40 minutes in the cage. Bishop posted 12 saves on 13 shots during his two periods of play.

In 14 games this season, the 31-year-old has an 8-5-1 record with a 2.37 goals-against average and a .923 save percentage. In six games this season, Khudobin has a 3-2-1 record with a 2.32 goals-against average and a .926 save percentage.
