Pride’s Jenna Rheault suffered fractured wrist vs. Beauts

Boston Pride defender Jenna Rheault announced Monday that she fractured her wrist in the NWHL’s Lake Placid bubble.

The injury occurred during the Pride’s 5-1 win over the Buffalo Beauts on Sunday. She left the game after being hit in the arm and did not return, leaving the Pride with only five defenders for the remainder of the game.

“After an awkward play last night, I unfortunately fractured my wrist,” Rheault wrote on Twitter. “Of course I am extremely disappointed but I can’t control what is out of my control. But what I can do is show my support for my INCREDIBLE team. Let’s keep it rolling Boston.”

Rheault was having a strong start to the NWHL season, notching an assist in two games in the Lake Placid bubble.

Briana Mastel is likely to come off the bench in Rheault’s absence.
