The Toronto Blue Jays are heading to Williamsport, Pa.
Major League Baseball announced on Sunday night that the Blue Jays will take on the Chicago Cubs in the 2027 Little League Classic on Thursday, Aug. 19.
Toronto will be the home team, and the game can be seen on Sportsnet at 7:10 p.m. ET / 4:10 p.m. PT.
It will mark the 10th year of the showcase from the home of the Little League World Series.
Commissioner Rob Manfred made the announcement in the fourth inning of the matchup between the Atlanta Braves and Milwaukee Brewers in the 2026 iteration of the event.
The Little League Classic has become an annual staple of the summer calendar as two teams make their way to Journey Bank Ballpark at Historic Bowman Field to play in front of players and families of the teams competing at the Little League World Series.
As part of the yearly tradition, players from both the Blue Jays and Cubs will spend the day taking in the Little League action and spending time with the young players representing their teams on the world stage.
The festivities will usually see the big-leaguers sign autographs, hop on some flattened cardboard to take on the Williamsport hill slide and engage in a friendly game of ping-pong or two with the Little Leaguers.
Previous matchups of the event included the Mets vs. Mariners (2025), Yankees vs. Tigers (2024), Phillies vs. Nationals (2023), Orioles vs. Red Sox (2022), Guardians vs. Angels (2021), Pirates vs. Cubs (2019), Mets vs. Phillies (2018 and the Pirates vs. Cardinals (2017).
