Raptors’ Boucher suffers partial MCL tear, not expected to require surgery

Toronto Raptors reserve forward Chris Boucher suffered a partial MCL tear in his right knee during Saturday’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers.

The injury occurred at the end of regulation, when Boucher tied the game with a tip-in.

According to Sportsnet’s Michael Grange, Boucher is not expected to need surgery.

The news follows the 31-year-old already being ruled out for Monday’s game against the Denver Nuggets.

Across 50 games this season, Boucher is averaging 6.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 0.5 assists. He recorded 16 points, eight rebounds and two assists in Saturday’s game.
